May 1, 2008Sorry I haven’t been around much lately. I am addicted to Scrabulous. The situation is bordering on out of control.
I finally managed to speak to the OB today and we have agreed that next Wednesday morning we will take a peek at my insides and decide whether or not this is a “trying” month. I am now worried that I made this too early. He said Day 10-12 and this is Day 11, but I tend to ovulate late in my cycle, so this is 4-5 days before I expect my LH surge. Do you know if it will be possible to see a follicle this early? I guess if not, I will just have to come back but time is not something in great supply these days. And not just because of Scrabulous.
Oh, and by the way, there are three indications that I am on my way to glaucoma. I swear I deserve some sort of award for the way I pile up minor medical problems.
Oh, I love that game. But my new favorites on Facebook right now are Text Twist and Scramble. Check them out, if you haven’t.
Oh, I love those games! (All of ‘em, Sara, plus Word Twist)
I am CD12 and we’re trying the “old-fashioned” way. I have no idea if it will work or the state of my insides. My ex-husband tells me that my uterus is cobwebby at this point. He’s probably right.
I think I would become a Scrabulous addict if I ever got started. Must keep from starting. It could be bad.
I don’t know about follicles and days. 11 sounds lucky to me.
FWIW, they should be able to count and do some measurements of the follicles now, even if ovulation is a few days off.
As for Scrabulous–yes, a friend just introduced me, and I’m finding it veeeery fun! We should find each other on Facebook and waste time together.
If I remember correctly, follicles grow about 2mm per day (at least on stims, I don’t know about au natural). A follie large enough to ovulate is probably anywhere from 22-26mm. So, even if you are 4-5 days early, you should see a follie that selected out and is growing. If you had PCOS, it might be harder to know because your ovary would look like it had many follies.
This is my very uneducated far out there guess.
Scrabulous?? maybe I shouldn’t google it….
yes, you should be able to see a follicle even if it’s early.
Here’s hoping your insides are just perfect. I went to the RE and mine are not. Good antral (resting) follicle count, but borderline high FSH. Excellent. Because if you are a worrier, that’s great to hear. I bet everything is dandy with you, though.
And damn you for making me look up that game. Reminds me of Bookworm, which took up too much of my life.
Ok I’m late to this post but a good ultrasound machine should be able to detect a follicle far earlier than that. Hope it’s a good month. And yes - DAMN YOU! for leading me to Scrabulous! I have been flirting with signing up, even with company here. It’s only a matter of time…my favorite on-line Boggle site shut down…need a new addiction.
