I have periodic insomnia anyway, but being pregnant with a baby who has the hiccups all the time doesn’t help. Last night, after lying awake for an hour, beginning at 1:30 a.m., I went downstairs to watch TV on the computer. After a while, it became apparent that A, too, was tossing and turning upstairs. A little while after that, Gatito’s door opened. He thumped down the hall to our room (how can such a skinny 3-year-old sound so much like an elephant?), climbed into bed, and told A he couldn’t sleep. A few minutes after that, one of the cats started puking. Five times, in five different locations. I laughed until I cried. What else could I do?
We had one of those nights too. Kid in the room, cats howling from the kitchen, plus a heat wave. Here’s to a peaceful night for everyone!
There must be something in the air! The Girl woke up at 3 last night and couldn’t get back to sleep. This old, pregnant momma needs a LOT more sleep!
Struggling with insomnia here too, but I am the only one home this week, so I prowl around by myself.
Here’s hoping tonight is better for you. And me.
The cat vomiting sounds in the middle of the night are usually the cherry on the whipped cream, aren’t they. I just always wonder if it will mean my 1st sensation stepping out of bed in the morning will be my foot in cold, wet, cat vomit.
