I have been Googling for weeks for, basically, the equivalent of a Bundle Me, except, you know, safe. That is, doesn’t have any fabric behind the baby. This would be perfect, except for the fact that it can zip over the baby’s face. WTF? And even though I wouldn’t have to zip it up, I wouldn’t want to worry that someone else might do that. And there is this, but I feel like if Ella turns her face, she’ll be buried under it (confirmed by an Amazon review). I want it to work like a blanket, not like a tent. Julia posted her link and it’s exactly what I want, but the seller seems to be unprepared for the volume of interest. You would think I could just continue to use a plain fleece blanket, but I’m a little obsessed now.
So I throw it out to you guys: Does anyone want to make and sell me a cozy fleece blanket that attaches to the car seat but does not go behind the baby and cannot be zipped over Ella’s face? go to target. they have one that goes over the car seat and zips up and has a hole where the face is – it does not even touch the baby – it is great and worked wonderfully for both my daughters when they were babies!
Yeah I’ve seen those but I want something that is more blanket and less tent. I’m picky!!

It’s not safe because the bunting goes behind the baby in the car seat. In an accident, it can compress, thereby making the straps too loose. (The same is true of puffy snowsuits and jackets.) Details here: http://babyproducts.about.com/od/carseats/a/carseatcoat.htm
I have also heard that it’s so warm babies can overheat.
Ok embarrassing admission here but go to http://celebrity-babies.com/ and check out their shopping section. Not a mom here always checks it out for thing that would make good baby gifts. I usually find something that if I WAS a mom I’d like. They might have something that fits the bill.
And lots of the sites are having sales now. Just had to buy 3 baby gifts. Spent $45 instead of $115, works for me.
